Job Responsibilities
Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with various departments to prioritize production activities and allocate resources efficiently.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor production staff, including technicians, assemblers, and operators.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and productivity.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Quality Control:
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product integrity and reliability.
- Implement measures to identify and address defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement technological solutions to streamline production workflows.
- Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to implement process improvements and introduce new technologies.
Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production schedules.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure accurate stock levels.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement measures to mitigate hazards and reduce risks.
- Provide training on safe work practices and emergency procedures to production staff.
Experience requirements
- Proven experience in electronics manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, including PCB assembly, SMT, and testing.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Proficiency in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Solid grasp of quality management systems and experience with ISO standards.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
Education requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
